A simple spearhead, with a compressible foam head that mounts to your own shaft to make a spear that lights up when a stab is scored. Safe enough that if used with control all you need is a mask, throat protection, a light hoodie (such as our sparring hoodie), gloves, and groin protection.
These electric light up spearheads are made in China and used for long-spear competitions, so have proven durability and safety. It is recommended that sparring always be done with FULL HEMA protective gear, especially if you have little experience.
Note that you will have to purchase your own shaft for each spear separately. You may order white ash hafts, through Sword Gear by putting that you want a haft in your order notes. These shafts are 170 cm long and taper from 3 to 2 cm, which works well with these spearheads.
